When I Grow Up I Want to Be. . .

What do you want to be when you grow up?  Remeber that question from elementary school?  I at one time or another wanted to be an atronaut, an aviation lawyer, a NBA/NFL trainer, and a labor & delivery nurse.  But there is one thing that I've ALWAYS wanted to be more than anything else, my desire to be this has never changed.  What is it, you ask?  It was to be a wife & a mother.

I once wanted 8 kids, and then I had my first 2 really close together (14 months), and decided maybe 2 or 3 would be just fine.  Little did I know then that Heavenly Father had a different plan for me.  Babies kept coming, whether I was ready for them or not.  4 kids 5 and under was tough!  Very tough!!!  5 years later we were blessed with saucey #5 and then our last SURPRISE #6 was born 20 months later.  Two more close together, no problem, I've done this before. Piece of Cake. . . Right?  WRONG!  It was hard because I now had teenagers in the mix.  No longer was I able to just stay home and play blocks on the floor with my kids, I had places to be, kids to run around, ball games, scout meetings, and school activities my other kids need me at (whether they want me there, that is a different story :)).  Throw in a husband going back to school full-time, while also working full-time, and my job became even more challenging.

Don't get me wrong.  I am grateful for each one of my children and my husband.  Sometimes it's just a little overwhelming.  There is so much to do, and juggle.  And there is very little recognition for the millions of things I do each day (that I don't necessarily enjoy doing) that are part of the job,  part of the career I've always wanted.  I needed some help.  A little pick me up.  Someone to give me a pat on the back, to tell me it's ok and that I'm doing a great job.  That's when I found this. . . .
