I'm not going to lie, this past year has been ROUGH!!! Without going into a long sob story and focusing on all the hurtful, painful, sad, scary, and emotional things I've we've gone through, I'm choosing (today, at least) to focus on one thing, and one thing only--- God is Good.
Sometimes, I believe God gives us experiences for our own good- to help us learn, to grow stronger as a person, to make us more like Him. He knows what He is doing, and what is best for us.
"And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my [daughter], that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good."

But sometimes it's still REALLY, REALLY hard.
