Hurray for Driver's Ed!
Sis has been doing a great job driving and learning about all the things that go along with that.
I don't know if she's a slower, more cautious driver than her older brother, or if I've just adapted to riding in a car with a learning inexperienced scary driver, but I'm not a anxious. That's a good thing right?
Thanks to her Driver's Ed class, she has spent an hour on the corner of a busy intersection observing drivers and the mistakes they make - running lights, stopping in the crosswalk, texting, etc.
She also had the pleasure of spending an hour sitting in a parking lot looking for those not wearing their seat belt. For her report she had to write down the approximate age of the person(s) not wearing their seat belt, the make and model of the car, and the license plate number. ????
ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEAT BELT! You never know who's watching you.
She also had a long list of car maintenance/repair work she was suppose to learn and do.
Stuff like knowing where and how to check all the fluids - oil, brake, transmission, etc.
How to check the tire pressure.
How to change a tire
etc
I totally know how to do all that stuff, and I would have shown her, but I didn't feel like getting my hands dirty, so I turned the fun little project over to Clint. I figured it would be good father/daughter bonding time.
I just love these little greasers of mine.
